Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2022
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
Ryker had been watching him for a while now, during the time spent enjoying his time on the battle field, to being interrupted by another soldier named Yuri. It seems things weren't going very well for his fellow AP soldier but he would watch and wait to see what would happen next. As things started to escalate, Polvu had come to save him. He remained in his spot, somewhat bored despite being interested by Garret's flames. When Yuri had fainted, he found himself that another AP soldier had come to save him. He knew her by the name Ice Queen. Things were bound to become interesting now. Conversation went back and forth before she handed Yuri over to Polvu to take him away. Perhaps she hadn't known exactly what she had gotten herself into when she stayed behind.
He would continue watching them talk, finding it somewhat interesting that her brother could wield fire too, but then again there were many people that could wield fire but none as interesting as the man standing a few feet away from him. As the flames rose and Ice Queen fled, he sighed. He didn't want Garret getting attacked but he couldn't just stand by and watch him attack the Ice Queen could he? They were after all on the same team. So he had come out of hiding and when she had passed him, he watched her before turning his attention back towards Garret. "Are you going to give me flames too?" He asked, opening his arms out to welcome them. In Garret's defense, he wouldn't know that Ryker was immuned to being burned but it didn't stop him from encouraging this man to do it anyway. "Ohhhhh come on, I know you want to..........." He teased, keeping to himself that he had been stalking Garret for a while now.

arret watches as the Ice Queen flees from the scene, even after he had attempted to burn her or at least her clothes. He sighed, shaking his head at the turn of events that had transpired today. First with the young man Yuri, then with his brother Polvu, then with Christina. He couldn't have known that she wouldn't be the last of this set of encounters right now.
There was another man staring at him from the flames outside, having been passed through by Christina. He raises an eyebrow, suddenly feeling something strange off this man... he also doesn't seem to be affected by the flames at all. Still, once this man asks if he wanted to give him flames and further teases him about it, he flinches and prepares to torch him.
Soon enough, he does blow some flames at the stranger, but only then stops shortly for a few seconds. "Wh... Why aren't you..." He ponders to himself with almost wide eyes, but had finally known something. He torches the man the second time; should it not affect him once more he would give up.
"...I suppose you aren't affected." He says to the point, tilting his head. "But since you really want some, here you go." He smirks almost devilishly, and torches him the third time. Playing with this man actually seemed entertaining than he thought.
Ryker couldn't help but grin wider when Garret seems confused as the flames licked against his flesh. He wasn't about to be burned, never happened, never will happen. The flames continued, he enjoyed being surrounded by them despite not feeling any pain from them. He chuckled when Garret made the comment about him not being affected before giving him more flames anyway. He doesn't mind giving me his flames...... I should do a trick for him. He thought to himself, waving his hand he sends the flames over to Garret instead. "Wha? I thought you were sharing...." He jokes as if Garret had been the cause behind the flames. He remained in his spot, watching Garret, waiting for him to take action on the matter. How did you like my surprise? Did you enjoy it? He thought to himself, still grinning at Garret. If only he had known I've been stalking him for a while now, I bet he'd have a field day. Not to mention, now he got the credit of interrupting one of Garret's kills. He would allow his arms to lay against his sides as he looks towards Garret, still smirking at him as if he won something. This is sooooo much fun..... He thought to himself, completely amused.

arret continues to hurl flames to the man in front of him, but this still doesn't affect him at all. He grins and chuckles in amusement, but all of this suddenly turns upside down when the man suddenly sends the flames flying towards Garret instead at the least when he expected it. Garret yelps and quickly turns his head and looks away, his eyes wide at the sudden impact.
Then the man teases him about sharing the flames; Garret suddenly grins and chuckles lowly. "Yes, I am sharing..." He mumbles, suddenly grinning menacingly as he hurls the ring of fire towards him with a gush of wind. "How about a share more to you, hmm?" He says with another chuckle ringing through his ears.
Come to think of it, he might've seen this guy somewhere, but couldn't put a finger on it... sure, he would've been in the Assembly because of his possible affiliation with Christina and he might've seen him, but no, he saw him somewhere else. Not in the Assembly... just somewhere else.
Garret smirks and stops conjuring his flames briefly. How about he asked him about it? Maybe his mind would pick up something eventually. "...You look familiar..." He mumbles with a thoughtful look to the other man. "I swear, I've seen you somewhere, but not in the Assembly... I only caught glimpses of you but never thought about it until then..."

Alright. I'll just... stop squealing right now XDXD
Ryker couldn't help but continue grinning when Garret continued hurling flames right at him. When Garret yelped, he forces the flames off to the side so that they don't hit Garret but he still might feel the warmness by them. That is right...... Faekin....... He isn't immuned to fire..... I'm going to have to remind myself about that one. As if to change the mood, he teased Garret about how he was supposed to be sharing as if Garret had caused the flames to move directions. When the ring is hurled towards him, he embraces it, not at all bothered by the fire surrounding him. "Yes....." He thought to himself as he watched Garret. Within a few minutes it was clear to him that Garret's mind was on something else, he was curious on what that might be. He notices that Garret has stopped conjuring the flames. "Do I?" He asked, that grin still on his face.
"Oh of course you have...." He joked, though he knew what Garret meant, he was implying he had seen him somewhere else besides in the Assembly, he just wasn't about to pass up the chance to tease him. "Got glimpses of me?" He seems to ponder it, forcing the flames to become smothered. "Well that is too bad, I'll have to work harder for your attention." He joked as he waited for Garret's reaction. Seen me somewhere else? Where exactly is he thinking? The thought of his dating profile hadn't crossed his mind.

he flames all rush to the side of his body, but he could still feel the warmth of them. Once he hurls the ring of fire towards the man, he hears him seemingly enjoying the fire. This makes Garret grin at him jokingly. "Enjoying the heat of the moment?" He asks the man with a small chuckle to himself. But damn, he had to admit, that pun was awful and he didn't want to use it, but since this man loves to tease him why couldn't he?
The man then asks for confirmation whether he really finds him familiar, and urges him, making Garret nod at this. "Yes... it was somewhere else from the Assembly..." He said as he stopped the flames, trying to remember a single piece of memory about where he possibly saw this man... if he ever did see him.
He jokes about wanting to get more attention from the fae, and Garret flinches with a sarcastic smirk. "Ha... ha ha... very funny." Then he grazes a finger through his chin and hums thoughtfully. "But seriously though... why can't I remember where I saw you?! Urgh, this is frustrating..." He grumbles to himself, clawing at his hair, trying to remember everything. But why is he so desperate to know about this man? It's not like he's somewhat of importance to him, isn't he?
...But he does seem important to him. But maybe that was just a long time ago.
Suddenly an image of a computer crosses his mind, and his eyes widen and he beams, then turns to the man with a teasing grin. "Say... have you ever had any accounts online before? Or until now?" He asked, still grinning teasingly at him. "I think I finally remember a small bit now... you were wearing tights, weren't you?"
Ryker was surprised by the tease back, slightly blushing. "Yes, yes I am." He answered back as he stood there, clearly enjoying it. When asked if he had if Garret had seen him before, he answered that yes and how it had been from somewhere else. I have a bad feeling about this.... He thought to himself, trying to turn it back onto correcting Garret on his location of seeing him. If he can't remember, maybe he is flat out mistaken.... Yes, that must be it. He decided to himself, going quiet as Garret tried figuring it out. To the question of the accounts, Ryker sighed. Knew it...... damn I'm going to have to find a way to remove that account faster now. Somebody knows I'm Peter Pan because those photos care cropped.... With a fake smile on his lips, he answers. "Nope." He lied, unsure on how he would get out of this one.
Then Garret asked if he wore tights, he couldn't help but feel happy that he wasn't wearing them right now because he would only wear them when in the middle of kidnapping or attacking citizens. "That wasn't me...." He answered, then would lean closer. "But for you, I might make an exemption." He whispered, clearly teasing him. That account is nothing but trouble, who ever made it figured out who I am.... They don't even have my real body, just a cropped photo with my head on it..... This is so embarrassing.... He had a feeling Garret wouldn't accept his lies, but it was worth a shot. To stay and have a conversation about an online account or run away to avoid having the conversation..... He decided on the latter, knowing he could and would just stalk Garret later anyway. He would turn around and run away from him.

he young man blushes once he replies to his statement about the flames, and Garret smirks triumphantly. He kept teasing him just a while ago, so why can't he do the same? "Really? You love your flames, don't you~?" He asks once more, sending only a little bit of flames towards him this time. At this time the ring of fire has lessened, but it is still there.
Garret stops once they bring in the topic about the accounts, and his expression turns to one of confusion as he raises an eyebrow. "Are you really sure you haven't been into any websites recently? Because I swore I've seen you somewhere there..." He seemed to be lying about that. Garret decided he would push this conversation further. He just really looked familiar and he swore to Tir-Nan-Og he saw this face before--
He then denies being the one wearing those tights, and he laughs sarcastically, crossing his arms. "Haha, yeah, funny." He grumbles, face distorted with displeasure. Feels like this guy was on to something. This distorted face suddenly turns to a teasing look, leaning up closer to him like what he just did. "But I can tell you're lying~" Not just with this one, but about the accounts, too. He could just feel him trying to get away with it.
Garret raises an eyebrow with a smirk. "So, Mister Liar, what do you want to do to clear yourself up?" Too be honest, Garret liked that nickname. He should use it more often.

Ryker you dun need to lie XD Everyone will know if you don't use your hexes ya know XD
Ryker enjoyed the flames all to much, but once they were gone they were gone. "I know I haven't been on there...." He answered, that wasn't to say his accounts didn't exist, he just wasn't the one that created them. Garret didn't need to know that though. To the tights comment, he denied it because Garret had seen a cropped photo, if he had been wearing tights, he would look exactly as he does right now but those cropped images made him look thinner when he was much more buff. When Garret claimed he knew he was lying, it was time for him to run away. He couldn't have Garret figuring out he really was lying, right?
"I didn't make those accounts, I'm in process of deleting them off...." He shouted back towards Garret. "As for the tights, I plead the fifth." He called from behind him. When ever he kidnapped or attacked as a soldier, he always wore a hex first. So the person who created the account had figured out his alias, by having the nerve to crop photos because they never caught him wearing tights in this form.... Oh how he wanted to make them pay, he hadn't expected Garret to have seen the website though. More of a reason to kill that person and continue stalking Garret from a distance.

he other man also seems to ponder to himself, before finally starting to back away from Garret. This makes the fairy raise an eyebrow at his actions. "Hey, where are you...?" That's when he did it. The young man started running away, farther from him, leaving Garret to just blink and watch him running off to the distance. He was really that desperate to delete those accounts, huh...
Garret's senses finally come back to him, and his eyebrows suddenly furrow. "Hey! Hey, come back here!" Garret shouts, running after him even though he knew he couldn't probably catch up. The ring of fire he had created dissipated once he was out of view from the battlefield. I haven't even decided if I should kill you or not... He thought to himself, sprinting faster like he never did before.
"Hey! I haven't even known your name yet, idiot!" He yelled once more, smacking stray branches from trees with his hand if they ever blocked him from running and seeing where the other man had gone. "And you're so desperate! Why're you so desperate?!" He continued yelling as he ran.
That's enough questioning for now, however. He needs to catch up with this guy.
Ryker couldn't help but smirk slightly when Garret had raised an eyebrow, proving to be rather confused. He couldn't help but chuckle when Garret had started yelling at him to come back. This was so amusing, he got Garret all to himself, he wouldn't have to worry about anybody else having his attention so he could keep it all for himself. He laughed louder when Garret said that he didn't even know his name yet, "RYKER!" He shouted back, not bothering to stop to catch his breath. If he catches me, I might lose his interest and I want him to focus all on me. Hearing the question, he continued smirking. "FOR ATTENTION OF COURSE, WHY ELSE?" He shouted, still running away from him. This was the most fun he had in ages. If Garret planned on getting him to stop running he would have to find a way by force because Ryker wasn't going to willing stop anytime soon. "AWWWW COME ON BLOOD FAIRY, ARE YOU SURE YOU CAN'T REMEMBER ME?" He teased, calling back at him. Though they had exchanged words back when Garret was apart of AP, he hadn't given Ryker much attention so now that was about to change.

is eyes twitch in annoyance when he hears that the man is simply laughing, before he actually shouts his name back at him. "R-Ryker?!" He shouts back, but his thoughts suddenly center around the name he just got. It did sound familiar, but he can't put a finger on it... maybe this guy was someone he had met before? In his old town, maybe? Or one of Polvu's friends?
...Polvu...
Suddenly it almost came back to him.
Wait... this guy...!
He was snapped back to reality when he answered to his question, yelling that he demanded attention. "Oh! Really!" He shouted with a snort. "My attention?! Yeah, you can have my attention! Once you die, that is!" He yells, a laugh escaping his lips after he says so. Oh, he doesn't know what this little fairy is capable of.
Ryker's taunts of trying to remember him suddenly send him back to his thoughts a while ago. "You're... you're a part of AP, right?!" He shouts, almost losing his breath, but he keeps running, anyway. "I... I think I've met you before, but I can't... quite... remember!" He adds, smacking more branches from the trees. "But you're familiar! I can tell you that!"
Garret isn't just about to stop now, so he keeps running towards him. Even if he was going to lose his breath.
Ryker had glanced behind himself to see if Garret was still giving chase or not, he had mentioned his name and he grinned slightly, still keeping his pace without much trouble at all. "Awwwwwww come on now, don't be like that, you'll miss me if you kill me. You want my attention." He teases playfully, personality finding Garret's laugh enjoyable even though others might have found it slightly creepy. When Garret asked if he was apart of AP, he turned to the right before making his way back towards Garret, as if to tease him because he believed Garret still couldn't catch him. Besides his goal hadn't been to escape Garret, it had been to be caught. "It has been a while..." He grins, remembering when he had first met Garret. Oh how he was interesting back then and how he was interesting right now too. It seemed like he hadn't changed much. "I'm glad you remember me." He answers, quite pleased, noticing that Garret was still chasing him, he pushes himself to keep running to keep the distance between them. Unlimited attention, yes that is me....... I want it all...... He thought to himself, chuckling again.

yker doesn't seem to mind if he gets killed, even telling him that he would get bored without him of all people. The purple haired fae rolls his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, keep talking." He grumbles and quickens his pace, keeping a straight eye towards the young man. No way was he gonna lose to this one now.
Garret's eyes widen when he suddenly disappears from view, then appears only afterwards. "Dammit..." He mutters to himself, eyes furrowing in annoyance as Ryker returns to his line of sight again. "Will you stop that!? It complicates things!" He shouts from behind him, squinting his eyes. Still quite far, but enough for Garret to catch up.
He then catches the other male mumbling, Garret's thoughts starting to pile up more memories while he was at the Assembly. Wait... he does remember now. Hidden eyes watching him while he was going his errands, laughing, doing stuff, taking on missions, killing people... "Peter Pan" did ring a bell whenever he heard of it. Garret also used to call him something else than Peter Pan, though... something about "Fairy", as well.
The young man hears Ryker once more, and he chuckles. "Hah, yeah, sure." He simply muses with another chuckle. But, finally unable to catch his breath, he stops and crouches while standing and panting, gripping his knees tightly. Sweat runs down his forehead and the side of his cheek; he closes his eyes and attempts to get much more air than what was needed. I'll... catch that guy... later... He reminds himself as he just stands there in a crouched position.
Ryker grinned as he ran away, feeling like he had just gotten permission to keep going. "It isn't everyday you can give somebody fire and them not be burned by it. In fact it must be sooooo much fun." He teases, knowing that Garret likes his fire and burning people, frankly he enjoyed his fire and burning people, they were one of the same, weren't they? When he had circled around he couldn't help but chuckle when he saw Garret's face expression. "Nope.... Too much fun." Though it was true he went by Peter Pan, he always wore a hex to hide his true form. So this would be the first time that Garret had caught him stalking without the use of his hex.
Perhaps he had been bored of hiding his true self from Garret, but he wasn't aware that he was already figuring out he was Peter Pan, else he would have kept the hex up to avoid his identity becoming known. Mostly because he kidnapped children and he didn't want people putting two and two together with his true self. He would glance behind himself and pout when seeing Garret had come to a stop. Within a few seconds he would be turning around before rushing towards Garret. He would then hold out his arms before attempting to tackle him to the ground. "I win.........." He muttered, quite pleased to himself even if Garret counted this as his own win.
