Colette Anna Beaumont beauty comes from both the body and heart. general info
appearance For most, Colette has a pretty much typical appearance you see everyday in a woman; woody brown eyes, a pale complexion, and blonde hair, fit for a fashion model like herself. However, what most distinctively separates her from everyone else is the unusual shape her hair is thrown into; curled like drills and seemingly separated into several large parts, not unlike everyone else's straight hair or short cuts; she feels as though there is a sense of superiority if her hair is always drilled this way. Her hair is also accompanied by blue ribbons that ties one portion of her hair. In terms of clothes, she always wears frilly dresses or the most popular designer clothes depending on the mood which sets her in for the day; as a fashion model, she always tries something new every day or every week, though she is usually seen walking around in her frilliest dresses. She also has a really picky taste in colors, always wanting those which fit her personality best; she always opts for either yellow or blue (and on rare occasions even purple to strut out her pride), yellow for her rather upbeat and interactive personality and blue for her rather calmer yet dull states. personality
Colette is your every day definition of a clingy, haughty, yet approachable personality. Of course, as a siren, she always needs to be close to a person or multiple, so as to regain her energy, so she tends to be clingy most of the time. Colette wants attention. Needs it. Because as a siren, she knows if she won't get enough energy from being close to others, she'll die. And that's one thing she is afraid of. She also has a sense of pride in herself, and would strut out her success when given the chance. Colette is also rather haughty and conniving, which would probably pass herself off as a mean person, but despite this she is actually a rather talkative person, and an approachable woman if you have any problems. She is also courageous and very protective to the ones she loves. Her mind is always full of ideas, either in the fashion world or in other creative things in general. This also comes in handy when everyone is in trouble, including her; she could think of a plan too quickly and eventually lead everyone to a path that she knows -- or thinks -- is safe. She would rather stay quiet if it isn't necessary, though. abilities SIREN'S SONG - master Colette is able to lure others to her when using Siren's Song. Like most sirens, the Siren's Song may sound like a lullaby that will lull their targets to sleep, but it is mostly used for luring others either into their trap or simply to do their bidding. Colette is a master of this ability, able to make others do her bidding whenever she wants. It also comes in handy whenever dangerous situations come to rise; if forced to do so or if absolutely necessary, she can lure a huge crowd away from the situation if they won't ever listen to her. ILLUSION MANIPULATION - advanced Colette is able to conjure illusions and trap a target into a mind of illusory images and images that they shouldn't be seeing. It is an ability of tricksters, an ability that may bring forth the destruction of a human's mental state just by seeing strange (maybe horrifying) things; yet Colette does not care about this. She is able to make you see things that shouldn't be deemed true, and make you believe you have done something just by creating a scene in your mind. However, while most sirens are good at illusion manipulation, and while Colette is very good at it, she is hardly an expert at controlling this ability and stopping herself when she gets too pressured. If she pressures herself to conjure illusions more while not being able to rest, shortly after a few seconds she will faint and the images will be gone. SOUND MANIPULATION - intermediate Colette is able to manipulate sound waves whenever she wants to, able to form and shape different kinds of sounds that would possibly distort the target's hearing. Colette can manipulate which form of sound the target can hear and change the shape of the sound they are hearing. However, she is not an expert at this and should she keep mending the different kinds of sounds even though she cannot do it anymore, she would slowly faint out of exhaustion. THERMAL RESISTANCE - intermediate Like most sirens, Colette is able to adapt to high temperatures without any consequences. As sirens are fully capable of swimming in lava as they are in water, they can resist the thermal energy radiating from the lava unlike a normal person. Cold temperatures are no different from this, but sometimes she may get headaches from the severe cold as she is not used to cold temperatures like she is used to hot ones. ENHANCED LUNG CAPACITY - natural Colette can breathe long hours in water or in lava. Her lung capacity, as well as those of other sirens, is natural and she is far more capable of breathing underwater unlike any natural human. SIREN TRANSFORMATION - natural Whenever exposed to a big body of lava or water, she would slowly and eventually turn into her siren form, growing fins and finding her hands and feet webbed. In a bigger body of water, this would expand into growing scales and eventually turning into a mermaid's tail. Sirens depend mostly on the energy of the closeness that they get whenever with others, and Colette is no different from this. Whenever she is close to someone, or to large crowds of people, her energy increases from slowly draining the energy of those around her. She may not eat for a few weeks if the energy she obtained from the closeness is so strong, that she may be able to survive for more than a few days. However, lack of energy from the closeness of others will weaken her immensely, and may even kill her shortly after if she does not maintain it. backstory She couldn't remember what France was like ever since she had moved somewhere else. But she did remember a few important things concerning it. Because she was born to that country. Once upon a time, a beautiful little girl was born. To her parents, she was the apple of their eye. She had shared one thing each from her mother and father: Mother's lovely brown eyes, and Father's golden, silky hair. She couldn't remember much, but she'd never seen two people any more beautiful than anyone else. She was beautiful too, according to them. Colette grew most of her life in Paris, France, the City of Lights. She had grown most of her life in a lavish and carefree lifestyle, a life so full of riches and harmony that she couldn't even wish for anything else. But then again, she was still a child, and things couldn't be farther from the truth at hand. But that was okay. Mother and Father were there with her, and the maids and butlers of the house were there to keep her company whenever they weren't around. Until one time, that they could never be around with her anymore. Her 8th birthday started out to be the best night ever. Everyone was there, even rich strangers invited by her parents, everyone but her parents. Which disappointed little Coco, really, that it made her call out her parents in the middle of the party. Lots of people had heard her throw a fit for not having her parents around. For anyone else, it would be embarrassing to think of, but Colette was still a child. No one can blame her. She only had one person to blame. And that was herself. It all happened so quickly, she couldn't even comprehend it. But, a child as she was, she could do nothing more but to watch as uninvited guests suddenly kick down the entrance of the mansion, holding weapons. Rifles, daddy always called them. They were dangerous, they could kill, there were a lot of them, and each rifle is pointed at random people, people who are now terrified for their life. "We demand to know where Colette Anna Beaumont is!" It was enough for the little girl to shiver once she heard her name. But she didn't have the courage to show herself. It was silent for only a short period of time. But then, as that time ended, things had erupted into chaos. People were screaming, red was everywhere, and yet here she was: a pathetic child having no courage to come out, and as payment for her cowardice, she would have to watch the carnage from under the table where she hid. Someone managed to pull her out from the table, and initially she had thought they were one of the intruders. She panicked, she struggled, stopping herself from screaming. But it's only until she went out of her hiding place did she discover that it was one of her family servants who pulled her out of the table. "Let's go outside, young mistress. You're carriage is waiting for you." There is no such thing as carriages. They are only for princesses who lived big dreams and have met their prince charmings to create their own happy endings. But she complies, anyways, and follows her servant out through the backdoor; all while he was about to die and Colette hasn't known up until she had gotten outside. She was greeted by her grandmother, who wished she had celebrated the party before anything bad had happened. "Come, my child." She could clearly remember her grandmother's words to her once she walked out of the backdoor, the servant collapsing to the floor breathless and dead after he'd done his mission. She was pulled into a big hug when she got nearer to Grandma, before urged to climb the carriage that would eventually lead to her escape. "We'll go to some place else. Mother and Father are no longer with us, my little Coco." She believed Grandma. There was no one else she could turn to. As the carriage drove away in a hurry from her beloved home, Colette looked back and found herself regretting many decisions. One of those decisions is to be naive enough to create noise at her own birthday party that lured intruders to ruin it. Still, what's done is done. She's going to have to get used to her new life. "...Goodbye, old home. I will miss you." These words do not reach anyone in particular, choosing to be gone with the wind as they go further and further away. ~*~ Her new life with Grandmother was not as enjoyable as it used to be. But she's content with what she has. Tries to be. Arianna Swan Beaumont was a famous model. It was a standing reputation, something Colette wanted to pursue, something her grandma wanted her to pursue. However, her dreams of wanting to become a model has turned sour; she's pressured everyday, to be perfect and to be with an upmost standing. She should not frown, she should keep smiling, she should look at the camera with a fierce look in her eyes and be haughty, just like a model should be. Rigorous modeling training is not something a child should be accustomed to. But overtime, Colette has gotten used to it. She's not happy with it, though. It lasted 'til age 12, but she knows her new modeling career is not about to stop there now. Grandma had talked to her about this important occupation few weeks ago, a conversation she still remembers up to this day. She could remember the ribbons tightened around her back, and how she'd yelp at the suden tug and the stinging sensation that would come after. Grandma would reprimand her about this, tell her she shouldn't act like a princess and live through it. "Modeling is not just about showing off, my little Coco." She told her once, adjusting her pretty little dress (something she dreadfully considers a dress that does not fit her well. "Modeling is like acting; you embrace the world and make it a stage, and you show others who you really are, even through small glances of the media. They know who you eventually are, just by looking at you, and they would consider you something that should not be trifled with." The words are stuck to her mind, but something about it seemed off. ...Wasn't that just showing off? Perhaps she hasn't understood it before. But it seems like the same thing to her. ~*~ At age 15, she is recognized a natural modeling beauty, and so she starts her official career as the local model to several magazine engines. She is required to be there for a photo shoot, every single day, and it seems to go on forever. She poses and acts all full on herself, and winks at the camera to show who she really is. Grandma cheers her on in the background, and that keeps her going. After a shooting session, she is congratulated by her grandmother with a hug, and several handshakes by the cameramen after a very successful photo shoot. To think that a 15 year old girl would immediately be admitted to the modelling industry. It goes on for years, and she becomes one of the most active models in the world; she is seen in magazines, newspapers, fashion shows, and finally reporters manage to get the nerve to interview her only at age 16. She goes on at her occupation, her company rivals with many others. For once in her life, she is proud of her talent, and she is actually very thankful her grandmother had introduced her to this life. Rivals try to keep up with your talent. They get extremely challenging. It gets worse if you are rivals with a model at the same agency you work on. She is introduced to a new recruit, among many others who are there. Fiore D'Angelo, was it? She hasn't heard such name before, but by looking at her, she already seems like scum. She's just as equally beautiful as she is, has a better charisma than she is. Colette does not mind her at first, however. She's too busy making her and her company proud to worry about rivals. But Fiore is persistent. Sometimes she gets in the way when they are forced to shoot photos, and that only ends up in a cat fight between the two girls. Sometimes they keep personal competitions running while at the modelling stage, and they strut out their pride and beauty to the audience without giving them a clue that they are against each other. Behind the stage, they are always pulling at each other's hair and reaching at each other's throats. Their employees are always there to stop them from doing such. However, as time passes, Colette matures. She stops fighting like a childish little girl and lets her do what she wants. Fiore has her tastes, Colette has hers. But Coco still makes it so that she has better tastes than her, has better posture than her, has much more of a bigger reputation than her. Fiore has started this competition anyway. Colette will be sure to make her get a taste of her superior fashion taste, and she will win against any competition against her without even exchanging words. She gives up on that plan shortly after, however, and instead erases Fiore from her mind. She instead will do her own thing and not mind her at all. Success will not bother her, she is sure of that. Things became... very interesting thanks to her. She will give her that. ~*~ Colette embraces her modelling life, even with the several failures that may come to pass and even with the rivals that may come to fight against or with her. She longs for that attention and receives it without much effort, and hugs the limelight and keeps it in her as encouragement. At 18, she decides to move away from Grandma's home (much to her dismay, she will miss her grandmother very much) and decides to move in to Lorsette. Half of the studio is there, and is just as large as the main one back where Grandma is. Many interesting things happen in that city, she has heard; even with a few terrorists that may plague the area, nothing is going to stop her from presenting herself on stage. She is Colette Anna Beaumont, a successful model who manages to forget the troubles of life. Whatever challenge, she will accept it. Beauty does not lie only in a person's heart and physical body. There is beauty outside of the human body, as well; there is beauty in the adventure and danger that life will send your way. Whatever circumstances, Colette is able to take it. She's gone through them before, she will go through them again. misc - Likes: exquisite food, sweets, chocolates, beaches, finding herself in a magazine, calm people, people she could cling to, swimming in water - Dislikes: annoying people, rivals, murderers, birthday parties, reliving the past, horror stories, her grandmother (half-heartedly) - Her grandmother, Arianna Swan Beaumont, was also a model before her. - Colette used to love Paris.
