Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Demetria had rose early in the morning, having decided the night prior that she was going to the carnival and not even work would stop her this time. She brushed her hair, putting on a red dress shirt with black slacks, pulling her high heel boots out of her closet she put them on. She than walked over to her nightstand, grabbing her sunscreen before applying it on herself so that she wasn't likely to get burned, she placed her gun on the strap on her belt, grabbed her bag full of ammo, her wallet, keys, and cell phone. She slipped the wallet into her back pocket, holding the cell phone in her right hand and the keys in her left, she made her way out of her bedroom, checking to see if Gideon was home before slipping out the front door, locking it behind her. She walked down the street until she had made it to Starlight Beach, there she was able to see the line of people waiting to buy their ticket to get inside.
It had been a while since she had been to a carnival last. If it wasn't because of work, it was because she chose to not go without her younger siblings, whom happened to still be living in Japan. It seemed only minutes passed by before it was her turn to pay for her ticket so that she was allowed entry. She only walked a few feet before she glanced behind herself to look at the entrance again. Hopefully I won't run into any Terrors. She thought to herself before headed forward. As she walked she came across a stand that allowed you to shoot the ducks to win a prize. She pulled out her wallet to hand cash before taking the gun, she shoots at the ducks one by one.
ayla already wasn't feeling today. After staying up late into the night after an intense wave of insomnia, the woman found herself agreeing to meet one of her "friends" at a carnival. A carnival of all things! She really couldn't stand what she'd dug herself into this time, but, after years of playing the fake game, Layla had to keep it going. That's why she was now handing her money over to some lackluster, acne covered teen that seemed about as dead inside as she was - which was ironic. Being a vampire and all.
Smirking at her own little joke, the woman pushed her way into the crowded carnival. Taking a deep inhale, she was overwhelmed by the smell of hellish B.O., blood, and fresh popcorn. Already she felt overwhelmed by a sense of disgust, but Layla had to power through. She needed to appear good, at least for this one damn time. Beginning to make her way through the abundance of crowds, Layla ran her hand through her hair. She even stopped by a nearby, colorful window and looked in, taking a moment to fix her bob of purple hair. That's when she saw it.
Through the reflection of the mirror, she saw a familiar shock of red hair. 'God damn it, this better not be who...' The woman thought to herself before spinning around, and strutting in the direction of the duck game. With a soft, fake smile, Layla leaned against the nearby, weak little table. "Didn't think I'd see you here, Dem? How have you been, girl?" She reached into her pocket, placing down a simple 5, before she gripped a nearby gun and joined in on the fun.
Demetria paused her shooting when she heard a voice speaking to her. She glanced over to see it was Layla. "Right back at you Layla." She answered her back before resuming to fire at the ducks. She hit ducks after duck but when it came time to collect a price she refused it. "What brings you here?" She asked, somewhat curious on why Layla was here. She had left Japan to try and get away from everybody over there but it seemed Layla was here now, who knows where she had come from before. "If you want attention, you can have all of it." She wasn't implying that she'd give her attention, it was just when it came to her work she didn't like being credited anyway. It didn't matter how much she tried, there were always rivals out there competing to have the best designs, that was how she met Layla. Of course she knew by this point this was the sister of his ex boy friend. A guy that she hoped was happy with his flings so long as he stayed the hell away from her. "Or are you following me now?" She asked, giving Layla an easy answer if it meant she could leave faster.
