Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Benjamin had on a slip, his long green hair hung against his shoulders. He moved over to the record player and put a disc on, waiting for it to start playing before moving to his closet to look at the different amount of dresses that he'd possibly wear today. Nobody was allowed in his room, unless it was an emerency, nobody was allowed to bother him. They knew there would be consequences if they took the risk in doing so. As the music plays, Benjamin has lifted up a pink dress, holding it up against himself as he stares into the mirrors, swaying to his hips to the left and than to the right. He twirls in a circle, with the dress still in his hands. Enjoying his time alone in front of the mirrors. After a few minutes he finds himself placing the dress back on the rack to pull off another one, this one being a sunny yellow color. So pretty. He thought to himself, once more swaying in front of the mirror, normally he would focus on his surroundings but he knew nobody would bother him while he was in his room, or at least that is what he had once thought.
It was only in the middle of the song that he chose to look in the mirror once more, having noticed that he wasn't alone, he gasped, turning around to see a familiar face. Am I dreaming? He found himself caught at staring at the man who stood a few feet away from him. I must be dreaming? I felt you gone, maybe I'm dead? He didn't remember anybody coming by to kill him. No. This must be real. He thought to himself, slowly managing to open up his mouth to try and force the words out of his mouth. "Abel? Is that you?" He questioned, slowly starting to believe that it must be true. He dropped the dress on the floor, contemplating on rushing over to embrace his deceased husband or not. No, deceased wasn't the correct word, Abel was very much alive.

The weather outside was unpleasantly warm with Celsius gradually ticking upwards as time progressed, gradually becoming the afternoon. The endless blue sky remained void of clouds, only increasing the heat. Despite the rather miserable heat, Abel had prepared himself for another session of completing missions at the request of the Hallow Order. There was a large bounty on the head of a man named Benjamin that fancied the golem's greed stupendously. Thus, Abel dressed in his usual clothing of a sleeveless hoodie and a pair of simple blue jeans of a loose fit; his temperature resistance kept the articles as favourable. The clothing choice revealed his mechanical arms, the sunlight glistening against their surface from the meticulous cleaning care they received.
[break][break]
Quietly, the golem moved down the sidewalks, earning gazes from his peculiar appearance. Nobody remained aware of his destination, Abel even taking precaution to take several indirect routes that kept him off course for a few moments; he preferred to limit the possibility of other individuals getting involved in his capturing. It was obnoxious to deal with individuals who attempted to detour him from mission completion. There was a single objective after all, which was to capture him and take him to the Hallow Order for his reward. That was the way all missions were required to proceed, and Abel was determined to continue the ritual with this individual. After a few more minutes of walking, Abel paused in front of a house, fetching his phone from the depths of his pocket and gazing at the screen. The picture was compared to the actual thing, making it obvious that this was the location his target occupied.
[break][break]
A few more moments were taken to give attention towards his phone for information, Abel stopping at the bus stop; at least than he would appear to be waiting. Another glance was given towards the bounty advertisement, the golem raising an eyebrow at the peculiar familiarity the face accompanied by the name held. Why did this man seem familiar? A sigh escaped Abel's lips as he plunged the phone back into his pocket and surveyed the house, entering through the back door with smooth ease. The golem stealthily crept through the house, the sounds of music reaching his ears while he continued through the structure. He followed the noise, carefully opening the door of what appeared to be the private quarters. Despite the music, Abel slowly entered the room, keeping caution to the possible noises he could make. His robotic eyes surveyed the area, momentarily switching to infrared to make certain there was another individual in the room.
[break][break]
Once the confirmation was made, Abel continued further into the room to discover an interesting situation. Confusion touched the bounty hunter's face as he found his target swaying his hips while pressing a yellow dress against himself. The golem lifted an eyebrow, confused by the peculiar action; was this normal for the male gender? Although Abel thought the dress flattered the overall shape of his bounty, he still found difficulty comprehending the strange actions; he has never seen a male target do this. When his target finally noticed him, the bounty hunter found himself preparing for combat only to be greeted with an unfortunate surprise. The strange man spoke his first name, resulting in the golem stiffening and glaring at the individual. WHERE HAD HE LEARNED THAT HORRIBLE NAME?! The dress was dropped, Abel clenching his fists; if this man knew his true name, perhaps he was one of the bullies from his youth.
[break][break]
It was becoming obvious that his target knew him from prior to the accident that resulted in his monstrous transformation. That explained the peculiar familiarity with the individual, but their relationship mattered little to the bounty hunter. This man was a criminal, and currently, Abel was given the task of arresting him. The thoughts did not cease the surging anger from the name Abel being used opposed to Flynn, the name he insisted on going by; Abel was the names the more horrible individuals used. His mother had informed him plenty about it, providing an extensive explanation about their teasing towards his name after Abel prompted the subject.
[break][break]
"WHERE THE HELL DID YOU LEARN THAT NAME?!" Abel shouted, glaring. "IT'S FLYNN OR I WILL MAKE THIS TASER ESPECIALLY HURT YOU!"
[break][break]
Without hesitation, the golem lifted his arm, the setting being electricity with plans to tase the bounty. Answers could be gathered later, but currently, Abel wanted to capture his prize and be done with him. There was a moment taking for aiming until the bounty hunter fired the tasing round in hopes of successfully hitting the target. If Abel was correct and this individual was one of his tormentors, there was no possibility that he would allow for him to escape. Especially considering this man, who went by Benjamin, appeared keen on using that pathetic name.
Benjamin found himself staring at Abel, that sleeveless hoodie, it seemed unlike him to be showing off so much arm even if it was metal now. What, what happened to you? He thought to himself, pulled from his thoughts when he noticed Abel was glaring at him. Was this not a visit between husbands? Had he not come back to him? He couldn't help but feel slightly hurt and confused. Abel had yelled at him, the question had come as a surprise. Is that to say you can't remember me, or are you trying to hurt my feelings? I mean you had left without warning. He thought to himself, smiling slightly when Abel had threatened him with a taser. Is that all? He thought to himself, Abel had lifted his arm in the air, as if planning on using the taser on him. Oh no, that just wouldn't do. He reached out to grab a pair of pants from the closet shelf. "If you plan on shooting, can you at least wait for me to put my pants on first? I'm assuming you have a reason for being here." Without waiting for permission he would pull on his pants, removing the slip from his body and tossing it onto the floor next to the yellow dress.
There was only more thing left to do, lifting his hand into the air, darkness slowly started to appear in front of them. It doesn't matter what your reason is for coming into my room. You seem so different and I won't have you aiming anything at me unless it is romantic. He would quickly move passed Abel, using caution as to avoid getting possibly hit as he slipped out of the closet, towards the bedroom window, grabbing the cell phone on the night stand before ramming into the window, crawling through. "Already to go Abel, dear." He flirted, giving away his position to Abel on purpose. Catch me if you can, my love. He slipped his cell phone into his pocket, figuring he would need it in the near future. The necklace that held his wedding ring, rested against his chest as he ran away from Abel, his home, just to test to see if Abel was serious about not remembering him or not. If he thought that he would respect the wish of calling him Flynn instead of Abel, he had another thing coming.

There was something peculiar when Abel noticed his target staring at him. While the golem easily deduced that they were connected prior to his evolution, he found himself oddly uneasy by this green-haired man's staring; almost as though his opinions were beyond the gods. It was unexplainable, but yet, possessed some vague familiarity. Somewhere there was a voice screaming at him, informing him that this individual held an importance beyond anybody else. There was something supernatural insisting towards it, almost as though several invisible strings connected them together. After a few moments, Abel narrowed his eyes as his countenance shifted to a menacing glower. Obviously, if this man was significant, he had to be a primary tormentor from his childhood, correct? Currently, it remained as the golem's only theory, leaving his deadset on the notion.
[break][break]
When a smile stretched across his target's face at the mentioning of the taser, Abel lifted an eyebrow in confusion. Despite being on numerous missions, the bounty hunter had never been acquainted with somebody who could possibly enjoy being painfully tased. This man was peculiar, even going lengths of giving Abel a sense of positive familiarity. Why was he receiving these wonderful sensations from merely seeing this individual? The golem began charging up the shot, blue shining from the vents of his arm, although, there was hesitation when the man spoke. Anger and confusion crossed the golem's face while he glared at his target.
[break][break]
"WHAT?! WHY THE HELL SHOULD I LET YOU DO THAT?! JUST HOLD STILL AND LET ME SHOOT YOU SO I CAN TAKE YOU IN!" The golem shouted, irritation touching his words.
[break][break]
Before he gained the opportunity to fire, the peculiar man removed the slip. There were rarely targets that would undress in front of him, but Abel found his eyes lingering over the form. Even the green-haired man's body seemed oddly familiar to the golem. After a few moments of pointless staring, the blond averted his eyes as red tinted the artificial skin. There was an attractive essence that Abel discovered in the target, although, he could not explain the spontaneous appearance of these fruitless thoughts. Nobody could possibly gain an affinity for monsters like him; it was impossible. The sudden undressing had caught his attention, hesitating his shot until the sounds of unique movement could be heard. When Abel's yellow eyes returned to the scene, his eyes narrowed into a glare as he noticed the shield of darkness. The sounds of movement by the window were noticed, the golem's eyes flitting towards the area as his target spoke.
[break][break]
Anger began elevating as the man appeared to be on the other side of the window and invoked that pathetic name again. Without hesitation, he ran towards the open window and smoothly slid through the crack.
[break][break]
"IT'S FLYNN!" He shouted as he landed outside. "YOU MUST REALLY WANT THIS GODDAMN TASER TO HURT!"
[break][break]
Hastily, the bounty hunter scanned his surroundings, eyes locking onto his target as he began to follow. There was no possibility that he could allow this long-haired man to escape. Motivation was generated from the high bounty placed on the man's head alongside his infuriating need to use that horrible name. Once Abel began moving, his running speed began ticking upwards as his enhanced speed surged through him. The drain in battery power was perpetually risky, but the golem required it to capture this aggravating target.
Benjamin hadn't waited for Abel to shoot him, he had already pulled his pants up and removed the slip from his body, exposing his chest to his husband. He couldn't help but grin when he noticed Abel's cheeks turning red. He had created darkness to help him escape from the room, he would never think to use it against Abel for any other use. He couldn't help but chuckle when Abel demanded to be known as Flynn. Though he knew about it being his middle name, he had managed to get Abel to allow him to call him by first name, why was now so different? He was hoping to find out among other things, like where his husband had been hiding this whole time. He glanced behind him to see that Abel was in fact following after him. He still had to figure out why his wonderful husband had chosen now of all times to make his appearance but that could be known later, for now he had to keep Abel from successfully tasing him, else his wonderful husband would feel a phantom version of it. "The marriage certificate says Abel... so I'm going to stick with it." He called back, determined to see how far Abel would go at claiming to not remember him.
He couldn't help but have mixed feelings on the subject, unsure on if he should hug his long lost husband or smack him for forgetting him in the first place. Life was cruel sometimes. He couldn't help but feel a great need in glancing behind him again, just to make sure Abel was in fact still behind him. He continued running, stepping on a rock with his bare foot. Pain shot through his leg and he found himself losing his balance from the desire to get off of his sore foot. Trying to regain his balance was proving difficult and he found himself tumbling forward until he landed smack into the ground. Ow... all this because I had to look to see if he was still behind me. He thought to himself, somewhat happy to know the pain in his foot was slowly drifting away. He slowly rolled onto his back so that he could see Abel much more clearly. "You are really Abel though, right?" He asked, feeling somewhat sad and disappointed if it turned out this guy was a fake.

There were portions of broken glass dislodged as Abel smoothly passed through the gap. It sprinkled onto the hard asphalt, smaller pieces managing to tangle into the threads of his grey, sleeveless hoodie. The numerous sharper wedges that remained held within the frame lacked the capability to cause damage to the metal exterior of Abel's golem body; he was designed with durability in mind. He landed in a crouch, the landing smooth and painless, his metallic soles receiving no damage from the glass that littered the ground. After a few moments of watching the green-haired stranger run did the blond burst forward from the crouch, his mechanism allowing to move with superior speed and dexterity than that of a human. The golem's determination to capture Ben was increasing considering the man's annoying insistence to refer to him by the name he rejected entirely. While he ran, his speed gradually escalated as the real chase began.
[break][break]
There was a peculiar sensation as Abel sprinted after his long-haired target. Phantom pains sparked across the soles of his feet, something that held vague familiarity to the golem. These instances were rather frequent, oftentimes limited to smaller pains that would occur randomly, although, they felt endless. It felt as though rocks were lodging into his feet, but Abel was aware of the impossibility; the metal plating would not yield to pebbles. At the mentioning of a marriage certificate, the bounty hunter glared at the man.
[break][break]
"MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE?! I HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED! WHO THE HELL WOULD GET THE IDEA TO MARRY ME?!" He exclaimed, infuriated by the suggestion.
[break][break]
There were no memories of Benjamin, Abel's memories long shattered since the incident; mother informed him of how he gained amnesia because of the circumstances revolving around his early death. The chasing proceeded, the bounty hunter charging up the taser to prepare to fire another round towards the running target, although, it became pointless. A peculiar sensation of phantom pain shot through his leg, the pain possessing enough strength to make the golem flinch. His yellow eyes remained fixated on his target, watching as balance was lost and shortly accompanied by a fall to the asphalt; alongside more phantom pains. These painful sensations appeared to link up with his target, but Abel remained uncertain at the prospect of sharing another individual's pain; he swore he heard about these links in a book somewhere. The running continued, only slowing when the blond managed to get into close proximity of his target.
[break][break]
Hastily, he moved his taser towards the green-haired man, going the length to accumulate extra power to create a nasty sting as a punishment for Ben's insistence to call him 'Abel'. The bounty hunter watched as the man flipped onto his back, inquiring about the possibility of being an imposter.
[break][break]
"Whatever Abel you knew died to create this one," he stated bluntly. "Now, I hope that we are done here."
[break][break]
Without any more hesitation, the golem shot out the taser he created with the intention of stunning Ben. He still needed to drag the green-haired man back to the order and receive his reward. The objective needed completion, Abel certain that he could carry out the wishes of his organization.
Benjamin cringed when Abel claimed that he had never been married before. If that is the case, why do I share your last name? He thought to himself, "Your birth certificate also says Abel." He counters, debating on how he would go about explaining to Abel that they were infact married. "My name is Benjamin McCroft, you are my husband..." As he ran away, he lifted his hand up to his necklace to grip the ring briefly, praying that this wasn't Abel's way of hinting that he wanted a divorce. Where did you go, why did you never come home? Why do you claim to not know me, why do you act like your not worth marrying? Before he had a chance to continue the conversation, he had fallen onto his stomach. Shortly after rolling onto his back, Abel was over him, preparing to shoot him with the taser. Abel's comment had caught him by surprise, but he couldn't help but feel somewhat happier to hear that this was really his Abel. Maybe an Abel that didn't remember them, but that would just encourage him to try harder in getting Abel to marry him again. He laid on his back, waiting for Abel to shot him with that taser of his. You're about to regret that decision.
To say being tased had been pleasant would be a lie, being shocked felt brutal because Abel had turns his taser up to full power. His body cringed in reaction to being shocked, though he knew that Abel was going to feel this phantom pain, assuming he really was his Abel. That would be the perfect payback for having the nerve to shock him in the first place, as would be everything that he would do in the near future from Abel hurting his feelings over forgetting him in the first place. He laid on the ground, slowly slipping his hand into his pocket he pulled out his phone to quickly type onto it. He hacked into the website in a matter of a few minutes, changing the bounty price on his profile so that he wouldn't be worth a cent by the time that Abel would bring him in. Once the action was complete, he would smash his phone against the ground, shattering the screen before smacking it against the ground again. He felt shards cutting into the palm of his hand as his phone finally had been destroyed by the action.
My my, I just can't lie It's the speed and the sound that I'm dying to try

There was a narrowing to Abel's gaze as his eyes locked onto the green-haired target who dared to make false claims. Marriage was never an interest of his, the golem's mother never informing him about any husband. Certainly, this would be a crucial information for his return to the living, thus the bounty hunter found difficulty believing his target. From prior knowledge, he presumed the statement was merely a ploy to possibly gain mercy. Mother would never feed him a torrent of lies, especially considering she was the woman who raised him after the horrible incident that ended his life. She forged his personality, teaching him the wonders of life again and even treating him with kindness towards his temporary dependence; she allowed him to live with her until he was stable. The mentioning of his birth certificate brought a deadpanned expression to Abel's face as he rolling his eyes. The statement had an obvious truth considering his constant screaming against his birth name, but the golem did not understand the necessity of mentioning it.
[break][break]
"JUST BECAUSE IT IS ON A DAMN CERTIFICATE DOESN'T MEAN I NEED TO USE IT! NOW SHUT UP!" Abel screamed angrily.
[break][break]
After realizing the name was connected to the bullying he vaguely remembered, the golem decided to renounce the name. Nothing positive appeared to arrive with the name 'Abel' which created a desire to start fresh as Flynn. There was a moment of quiet as he listened to his target continue, stating both his first and last name alongside claiming to be his husband. Instantly, the golem believed the statement to be an absolute lie. Marriage was a word never associated with him, and nowadays it became unlikely that somebody would marry a monstrous creation like himself; there was no golden band to bind him to another individual.
[break][break]
"CONVENIENCE! I HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED AND NOBODY WOULD EVER MARRY SOMEBODY LIKE ME!" Abel yelled. "WHY ARE YOU SO INSISTENT TOWARDS THIS?! I NEVER HAD A HUSBAND, NEVER GOT TOLD ABOUT ANY HUSBAND AND HAVE NEVER HEARD OF YOU!"
[break][break]
The golem remained unaware of the abrasiveness captured in his words as he unknowingly generated sadness for the person who loved him intensely. His mother had neglected to provide information about his lover, the individual who filled his years with immense joy and affection. Witnessing Benjamin turn around, facing him while he remained on the floor. The bounty hunter kept his arm aimed, preparing to shoot the target that continuously irritated him. The taser was turned up, Abel narrowing his eyes before firing the electrical shot at the man. Everything changed instantly as suddenly a phantom pain pulsated through his body, intense and hurtful. The pain was uncharacteristic considering the durable nature of his body, resulting in Abel collapsing to his knees, hugging himself as the phantom sensation passed through his body. It felt as though somebody had shocked him in a desperate attempt to fry his circuits. Slowly, Abel's gaze lifted to notice the phone in the man's eyes but ignored it to merely glare at the individual. Why did he experience phantom pains that replicated the ones this green-haired individual experienced?
[break][break]
"WHY DO I SENSE YOUR FUCKING PAIN?! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME?!" The golem shouted.
[break][break]
Despite the unlikelihood, Abel believed the phantom pain was the result of a strange type of magic his target inflicted on him for defensive purposes. Silently, the golem continuing glaring at the man with confidence that his target would be unable to properly move on account of the taser. The green-haired man accomplished the mysterious task that required his phone, only to suddenly smash the phone. There was a loud thud as the screen was shattering, the smacking continuing and Abel shortly sensing another series of phantom pains.
[break][break]
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?! AND STOP DOING THAT! WHATEVER FUCKING MAGIC YOU ARE PULLING, YOU BETTER STOP!" Abel screamed at the man.
[break][break]
There was anger filtering through Abel's veins as he crawled closer, his arms reaching up in an attempt to pin Benjamin against the ground. Should the pin be successful, he planned to straddle the man to keep him against the ground to continue the yelling session with this irritating individual.
Benjamin frowned, clearly confused by the fact Abel was yelling at him. What exactly had I done to deserve such treatment from him? Was him searching me out a honest mistake? He couldn't help but feel upset that Abel was treating him like this. Since when did he decide the name wasn't worth using anymore? Why didn't he tell me? He didn't have to leave if that was his only reason for falling off his grid... He felt hurt when Abel claimed that he was lying about being married to him. It took a lot of effort to refrain from crying, choosing instead to remain quiet. During the process of being shocked, he hadn't paid attention to Abel falling on his knees. He wouldn't need to, he was already aware that Abel would feel the phantom pain. His question was ignored, Benjamin wasn't going to answer anymore of his questions. Shortly after destroying his phone, he closed his fist, laying on the ground. When Abel had crawled towards him, he slowly sat up before crawling backwards on the ground to stay away from him. Surely after being quiet so long, Abel would get the hint he was done with this conversation.
"Believing you came back after all of these years.... Shame on me. Having the nerve to not believe my words, further accusing me of using magic against you. Shame on you. Not to mention, viewing yourself as somebody I wouldn't marry." His words came out slow, emotional as reality sank in that Abel was still following after him. "If you wanted a divorce you should have gotten the paperwork for it, not come back and pretend to not even remember me. Or maybe you really don't remember, regardless, you don't even remember the phantom pain we share!" He stood up, opening his hand he forced his blood to come out to form a barrier between the two of them. "I'll do what you sure have done a long time ago. Filing that divorce so that you can be alone as you desired.... Don't bother following me, I'm worthless to you now." He knew that comment could be taken so many different ways but he didn't care, he wanted to get as far away from Abel as much as possible and with that blood barrier up, it would give him a head start in getting away from him.
Sooner or later I'll have to burn down that place I claimed as home for the last few years, then after that I'll kill who ever kept Abel away from me for so long. Than when all is said and done, I hope the one who killed me, gets wind I'm alive and finishes the job correctly this time. He had turned away from Abel and started running away, his body ached but nothing hurt as much as his heart. So this is what it feels to be heart broken.... all over again.... I never thought I'd see the day.
My my, I just can't lie It's the speed and the sound that I'm dying to try

[attr="class","lovemad2"]
Anger flared across Abel's face as he crawled closer to Ben, a glare crossing his brow when his target began scooting backwards. This peculiar suffering and strange phantom pains were not foreign sensations, the bounty hunter remembering the strange pains that randomly occurring through his days. Could it be possible this mysterious individual be the spawning of those abrupt pains? It increased the golem's requirement to eradicate the nuisance from his life. There was a silence, the lich avoiding answering the numerous inquiries which only infuriated him further. The conversation was obviously finished, but Abel continued advancing in hopes of convincing him otherwise. While he remained tempted to continue causing pain, something inside began insisting against it, screaming about the horrible treatment of this man. The mysterious magic between them insisted against the abhorrent treatment.
[break][break]
Words were stated, the golem confused about the various statements this attractive, green-haired man said. The marriage was mentioned, the blond's faulty memory accompanied by the lacking in information made him unable to understand. Emotions reigned within the words, his target clearly upset for the claims he created. The mentioning of the divorce resulted in his heart-aching, going lengths to make something within him desire to cry in response, however, he resisted. The yelling annoyed Abel slightly, his deplorable memory; his inability to remember was not his fault! Once Benjamin raised from the floor, the golem was hasty to follow, pushing himself up from the hard ground. Before the bounty hunter could speak, his target continued speaking, the words sinking into Abel's heart as a mild shake entered his body from the upsetting decision.
[break][break]
"WAIT! I AM NOT LYING! I CAN'T REMEMBER!" Abel shouted, hoping Ben would listen.
[break][break]
A shield was created, the blood separating them and resulting in a slight backpedal from the barrier, believing in the possible offensive manoeuvre. There were the subtle sounds of footsteps as his target retreated, guilt promptly entering the golem. A flinch crossed Abel face, the bounty hunter slamming into the barrier composed of blood. After a few moments, he managed to break through, something inside compelling him to chase after the individual he harmed on a mental level. Tones of anger continued pulsing through Abel's vein accompanied by the guilt. HOW COULD HE BELIEVE THAT HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO FORGET HIM?! HE DID NOT REMEMBER ANYTHING PRIOR TO HIS AWAKE AFTER DEATH!
[break][break]
"BEN! COME BACK! I WASN'T TRYING TO HURT YOUR FEELINGS, DAMMIT!" Abel shouted, attempting to get the rubbing to cease. "PLEASE! GIVE ME A FUCKING CHANCE! I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER!"
[break][break]
Somewhere inside, he craved the attention of this beautiful, green-haired man; almost as though it was suddenly required for survival. There were strange notes of nostalgia from his romantic thoughts, the golem finding himself unable to understand the strange feelings coursing through his veins. There was a connection between them, Abel unable to comprehend the nature of the binding between each other. Hastily, the bounty hunter chased his target, no longer fixating on the price that formerly lingered above the man's head, but instead desiring to correct himself and end the aching within his crystal heart.
[break][break]
"I AM BEGGING YOU! COME BACK!" Abel called.
[break][break]
The slightest hints of sorrow broke into the man's expression as he ran after Ben. Determination entered Abel, the golem activating his enhanced speed in a desperate attempt to catch up. Weariness was claiming him the longer he continued using his abilities, battery power gradually draining. Distress was evident as Abel attempted to close the distance with plans to leap forward in hopes of tackling Ben back towards the ground.
It was clear to Benjamin that Abel couldn't remember him anymore, it didn't change the fact that he was hurt that Abel had forgotten all about him. It was clear to him that if Abel had wanted the relationship to continue, he would have made the comment instead of continuing to push him away. So there was only one thing left for him to do, free Abel from this marriage so that he could move on with his life, even though despite freeing Abel from such a commitment, it would drive him over the edge. The one thing that had held him together, was the belief that Abel still loved him. Now it didn't seem to be such the case, no Abel didn't hold any interest for him. Hearing Abel calling after him made his heart ache even further. Why is he chasing after me? Doesn't he understand that I'm not worth any value? Is it too hard to believe that I could change the bounty amount of myself? He thought to himself, forcing himself to keep moving, despite the pain coursing through out his body from being tasered prior. "YOUR JUST SAYING THAT!" He shouted back at Abel, it was his turn to push his love away. Not for the sake of hurting his feelings, he honestly believed that Abel was chasing him out of pity, when he really needed to be concerned over his own well being.
He flinched when Abel shouted once more. Begging, that was an interesting choice of words. Surely he didn't mean it though. Surely it was just a trick to just get him to stop so he could be captured.... He couldn't bring himself to believe that Abel had changed his mind about them, no, he was just having a hard time losing a target, that must be the only reason. He turned his head slightly so that he could glance behind himself, surprised to see Abel was determined to keep up with him. He couldn't understand it, why would he continue running after him when he clearly told him that he was worthless to catch. Stopping won't benefit either one of us, I'm not understanding the benefit. He thought to himself, failing to pay attention to where he was running, he came to a sudden stop when the pole met his body. He gripped it to try and regain his balance. That was the dumbest thing I've ever done....
When he thought he wouldn't fall on the ground, he let go of the pole. Once more he glanced behind himself to see how close Abel had gotten to him, figuring he might have closed some distance between them when he had ran into the pole. He fell to the ground when Abel had leaped towards him. Maybe it is for the best if I just lay here until he grows bored with me.... He stared up at the sky, waiting to see what Abel would do now, now that he was finally caught. Is he going to collect his bounty anyway? Oh hell... I could always escape after he brings me here, no sense in fighting with him about it right now.... He thought to himself, still staring at the sky. "Fine.... You win.... You can take me in to collect your bounty."

Notes of pain coursed through Abel's body as he chased after Benjamin with a steely determination inside his robotic eyes. The sensation created from the phantom pains was faint, being generated from the aftermath of tasing the man who claimed to be his soulmate. Could he possibly be truthful in these claims? Proof weighed heavily on the supposed stranger's favour, especially considering the sensory of injury. The thought was praised somewhere within the bounty hunter's heart, insisting towards it as he desperately raced after Benjamin. There was confliction from the statements created by his mother and this mysterious man, and despite their interaction being briefed, the golem found himself more inclined to believe his fleeing target. The suspicion towards the possible usage of magic, but there were those voices preaching against the concept. The chase continued, Abel activating his enhanced speed to desperate shorten the distance between himself and Benjamin.
[break][break]
The aching feeling consumed his heart, the scene of his target fleeing, as though this individual was more important than expected. There was a shout aimed towards Abel, the golem flinching at the sentence that managed to sting his heart. Suddenly, the tables turned as the stranger attempted to push him away. While he continued chasing, the bounty hunter prayed that Benjamin would cease the fleeing, especially since his energy was beginning drain. Empty batteries was a detrimental situation for the blond, leaving him defenceless until he managed to charge. The direness captured in losing his power was forgotten as Abel's eyes fixated on Benjamin; he needed to explain everything. These emotions that tormented would not cease the torture until he managed to speak with this man. There was an abrupt sensation of phantom pain when Benjamin crashed into the pole, Abel pulling through the pain in a desperate attempt to close the distance. The steps continued, Abel eyes widening as he managed to get within tackling distance of Benjamin.
[break][break]
The golem leaped forward with his arms extended once Benjamin moved slightly away from the pole. While his mechanical body could result in a heavier fall, Abel knew he needed to keep his supposed soulmate from moving. Once the bounty hunter felt his cheek collide with Benjamin's chest, he wrapped his arms tightly around the lich in an attempt to keep him from leaving. They collapsed to the ground, the golem maintaining his tight grip around his target's waist. The words spoken resulted in Abel adjusting himself to gaze at Benjamin, a glare across his eyes.
[break][break]
"YOU THINK I CHASED YOU FOR JUST A BOUNTY?!" He shouted, although, it sounded like something the greedy golem would accomplish. "You claim to know me, so why did nobody tell me about you when I came back?! TELL ME NOW!"
[break][break]
Gathering answers became the new necessity for Abel, the golem planning to possibly turn over the mysterious man after they provided him with the words he desired to hear. While he waited for Benjamin to speak, the bounty hunter continued staring, the slightest hints of red touching his cheeks from being close to his shirtless target; HE HATED THE TECHNOLOGY THEY ADDED TO INDICATE HIS FEELINGS! While the embarrassment was immense, there was a strange sense of comfort, almost as though this closeness existed between them for years.
Benjamin felt his back smack against the ground, feeling the wind blown out of him when he had broken Abel's fall. Or tackle in this case. Abel cheek had pressed against his chest but he was too focused on the fact that Abel hadn't come back for the sake of returning to him to care. Abel's arms wrapping around him felt like a torturous tease, prior it had shown affection, now, he wasn't sure what it was supposed to mean anymore. Perhaps he was correct to believe that Abel would stop at nothing to collect that damn bounty on his head. He stared blankly at Abel, was it really that hard to believe? Of course he had chased him for the bounty, what other reason would he have in bothering to hunt him down. Abel's questions were overwhelming to hear. He couldn't help but feel a great need to struggle in this grip, this grip that wanted to hold him here to give him answers. "I DON'T KNOW BUT I'M GOING TO KILL WHO EVER TOOK YOU AWAY FROM ME!" He felt angry, a great need for revenge. Abel, he was different when they had been married, not that he would complain since he was back, but he knew that he had died and he'd be damned if he didn't get revenge for it.
He closed his eyes, "Collect your bounty, it won't change anything. Kill me.... it might just save who ever killed you...." He was angry, feeling his heart crushed. Abel wanted answers that he couldn't give to him, he had waited this long to show himself and who was to say that he was really unable to remember them? Maybe Abel had left because he didn't want to be with him anymore, what ever the case, he couldn't bring himself to forgive the assumption that Abel had made earlier.... "YOU THINK I'M LYING, WHY SHOULD I GIVE YOU THE ANSWERS I KNOW?" He opened his eyes, slowly moving his arm so that he could grip the ring around his neck, the last piece of love that he had from Abel prior to him disappearing, he'd be damned if he lost it too.

A glare settled in Abel's brow as he tightened his grip around Ben in a desperate attempt to keep the man still. The squirming created immense difficulty in ceasing the stranger's movements, the golem possessing no desire to release him. Within his chest was a peculiar sensation, the odd fluttering sensation of his heart-core; similar to a heartbeat. Did he enjoy this close proximity? The concept was immediately shoved away, the bounty hunter insisting that his lack of familiarity with the green-haired man made the notion impossible! Finding jovial emotions from closeness was beyond a creature of his calibre; his mission was to capture and receive the attractive price of a bounty. However, why did he discover the intense need to ask his inquiries? For the entire instance of desiring answers, the luxurious offer of payment did not affect his thought process, but rather how he managed to upset this attractive man. The yelling in response only resulted in Abel's eyebrows furrowing in confuse; he was the victim of a mere accident, not a murder.
[break][break]
"What the hell are you talking about?! MY DEATH WAS AN ACCIDENT, NOT A MURDER!" Abel exclaimed.
[break][break]
Nobody informed the golem of the truthful circumstances around his mysterious death; it was merely an accident. From what Abel was aware of, the details haunted his unfortunate mother who would become on the brink of tears from the mere mentioning of his demise. The secret brutality was something that Abel believed he could never become aware of, although, this man appeared to lack the details if he believed he was murdered! The sudden resigning to the fate of being turned in for the bounty that lingered over his head. An aching feeling enveloped the golem's heart as his stare became oddly gentle towards his bounty; he never meant to upset him, all he desired was to earn the generous bounty placed on his head.
[break][break]
"I really don't remember," Abel mumbled, slowly shifting his position.
[break][break]
Guilt began generating over his lack of memory, the blond mentally apologizing for losing an extensive amount of memories from the accident that stole them. He wished he could wake up and remember everything in a single night, but it was another impossibility; amnesiacs could not recover within a few days. The sudden screaming towards his accusation of Ben lying only resulted in Abel rolling his eyes. Relying on the words of unfamiliar people was difficult, even if his heart continue assisting that this green-haired beauty was being truthful.
[break][break]
"Whatever! I can't remember! If you forgot everything from before you died, would you trust a random guy you met on the street?!" Abel countered, still glaring.
[break][break]
His stare continued to fixate on Ben, the golem watching as the mysterious man grabbed the ring. The blond's eyes focused on where the hand closed, lifting an eyebrow in curiosity. Why was that material possession so valuable? The only worth of rings is the monetary value they could fetch at a market; people paid excellent for rings in good condition.
[break][break]
"What is that for?" Abel inquired.
[break][break]
There was something insisting towards the importance of the ring, almost as though mentioning it was crucial. While his heart continuing insisting, Abel only saw the possible money earned from it. The concept was a bonus to the generous bounty provided which sounded incredible to the greedy golem. Slowly, he shifted into a sitting position to keep Ben still, his hand reaching to attempt to pry his target's hand's away from the ring he held.
Benjamin wanted freedom, it was too painful to be held by his husband with the belief he hadn't come back to him because of love. Benjamin found himself frowning at Abel, struggling more in the grip. "THE PAIN I FELT WHEN YOU DIED? IT WASN'T AN ACCIDENT!" He yelled back, refusing to believe the phantom paint that he had felt as an accident. "FOR SOMEBODY LACKING IN MEMORY, YOU SURE BELIEVE IT TO BE AN ACCIDENT....." He wasn't about to explain his reason to Abel for why he knew it had been a murder, if Abel thought it was an accident maybe it was best for him to keep believing that way, it wouldn't change the fact he'd be searching out the one who killed his Abel and kill them slow and painfully. Benjamin frowned at Abel. "I think I would if my gut was telling me too, or if I felt the phantom pain from my partner.... but who cares what I think, I'm just a bias guy who claims to have been married to you." He wasn't going to let Abel use him as a reason to believe him or chose not to. "It doesn't change the fact that I promise you, once I'm free, I will go about my business as you do yours...." He didn't need to remind Abel that he had full intentions of killing his murderer, the less Abel knew the better. He had grabbed his ring for comfort, he hadn't expected the action to draw Abel's attention.
Abel asked him a question but before he had a chance to answer, Abel was attempting to pry it out of his hand. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He struggled under Abel, attempting to try and push him off of him. He would save his ring at all costs, the last thing Abel gave to him. His husband might have been gone but the memory would live on. Try and he might, he wasn't able to keep Abel from stealing the ring from him. "GIVE.... GIVE IT BACK.... IT IS MINE...." He swallowed hard, afraid that Abel planned on taking the ring back that he had once given to him. "Abel... you gave me that ring... give it back to me... I want my ring....." He pouts, attempting to get the ring back from Abel. "If you need proof, look inside the ring, it has our names in it...." He couldn't help but form tears at his eyes, despite giving Abel the proof needed he believed he would never get the ring back now that Abel had it in his possession.
