Garret Yakov "Have you ever wondered what fairies do when they kill a person?"

Garret is pretty recognizable, because so many traits say this to people who pass by him in the street and to those who took the time to observe him. Garret, despite already living 268 years, still has the face of an 18-year old man. There aren't any signs of aging if you see him. His eyes are a deep shade of blue-violet, just as deep as the blue of sea. Garret is also quite skinny, weighing only 145 lbs, but rather tall, standing at a height of 6'5 centimeters. Originally, his hair was supposed to be black, a shiny obsidian, but due to the hatred he had for his parents -- who both had black hair -- he purposefully dyed his hair a shade of purple, with only four black strands avoiding the fate of the rest of his hair. He got a burn mark resting in his ankle after he burned down his parents' house, his skin accidentally singed after the strong fire hitting his ankle. Luckily it started to wear off as he grew up, leaving only a little burned bruise.

This "fairy" likes everything made of gore and dark elements, not things made of sugar, spice, and everything nice. Garret loves the sight of blood and gore. Chaos and violence, to him, can combine into an intricate red artwork or a skilled artist. He also loves the sight of fire and how it would immediately cause havoc and wreckage in just a second. He would automatically like anyone who wouldn't think him weird (or even messed up) if they were to discover his like and interests. Similarly, he doesn't like many things, and is afraid of so many things, too. Just because he loves dark themes doesn't mean he can't be afraid of anything. First impressions can speak the loudest. When it comes to Garret, the first thing one needs to know about him is he is always calm and collected, even in situations that call for panic. He is also a strategist, manipulative and charismatic and can take you into his wing whenever the situation calls for it. A stoic man, he is also a friendly one and can be kind to his friends. He can also act naturally and would pretend to not have done something bad. But, he also shares a few negative traits himself. As an assassin, he is sadistic, craving only for the loss of life and blood everywhere. This also happens as he can always hve a grudge -- a long-running one -- against those he hates. He is also proud, demanding and bossy, very teasing and argumentative; definitely not the best of combinations.
ABILITIES | |||||||||
➤ overall | |||||||||
FIRE MANIPULATION - master Garret already had uncontrollable power, even at such a young age. Having been just a child when he had gained powers, at first it was all beyond his control, but as he grew up, he learned how to control his powers and use it as he sees fit. Among these powers is manipulating fire. Garret can always ignite fire simply from a snap of his hand, or simply making it glow atop his finger like a match. He can also make the flames grow into a level that can burn down a group of houses. Making shapes using fireballs from his hands is also possible. Garret used this ability to commit arson against his parents' home when he had just been accepted into the world of Fae, as well as burning the other houses beside it. He cannot activate his fire powers whenever near any body of water, though. He knows very well that fire and water do not mix very well. Sometimes his fire powers can be uncontrollable when given the chance. If he goes into a rage, his fire powers will spread like wildfire while not what he intended to. He will faint shortly after if this happens. HEALING - advanced Like most Faekin, he can heal the wounds of any person or species, including himself. He can stop open wounds from bleeding simply with a touch of his hand or through his mind. But he cannot heal many wounds at once; if he attempts to (and did once in his life), he will experience headaches and bleeding of the nose, which makes him faint shortly afterwards. WEAPONRY - advanced This young man is also highly skilled in wielding weaponry, most notably two knives or a sword. Any weapon you give to him, he can always kill with it. You can tell what his favorite weapon is just by looking at the belts wrapped around his waist (hidden by his trademark cloak); knives and a few timer bombs in disguise of toys. AURA CAST - intermediate This technique is famous among faekin, and Garret is no different from his kind that can use it. He is not very skilled with the spell yet, however, and attempting to cast it until it goes above the level of his knowledge of it will drain his energy, resulting in fainting. Those around him will experience the healing working, though. He only ever uses this spell whenever his friends or loved ones get severely injured. SPEEDY GROWTH OF PLANTS - intermediate Garret can make plants or small shrubs of them grow faster, but he only ever uses this technique if there isn't anything much to do or if he is bored. Nature comes in handy though when torturing vitims or killing, so he resolved into giving nature a chance to be evil for once.

If you were born with so much immeasurable power that even your little body couldn't contain it, you are not considered a normal human being. Garret Yakov was never a normal human being. The newly-married couple Miko and Alexandra Yakov both lived in a small, friendly town where magic and other creatures were very much accepted into society. Houses stuck to each other in one parallel line, and the streets were filled with the chitter-chatter and the local noise of the townspeople. Everything was peaceful, really. No war, no calamity, nothing bad was going to happen. That was, until their first born son, Garret, was born. When Garret Yakov first came into the world, his parents and everyone they knew of filled him with sunshine and rainbows. His parents whispered sweet things in his ear, and his mother cradled him in her arms. His father would sing such sweet lullabies and tell him about the wonders of the world. They swore under their breath that they would accept and love him no matter what his future is going to be. But these promises were broken by the time he turned 3. Actually, the start of his problems had already started when he was a year old. He has so much magical potential that not even his body could contain it. This magical potential only increased as he grew. At first his parents thought he was gifted with the ability to learn magic at such an early age. Learned so much that he almost burned his bed with his hands, break a cup and burn it on the floor and almost set the house on fire. He was also starting to go blind and his body was having so many seizures. His parents thought that he might not survive from the "sickness". But they knew what was happening to Garret. The couple scheduled for themselves a trip to the mountains one day, so they would be away from town for a few days. The poor boy didn't know why they were going someplace else, but he would occasionally ask his parents what wonders were out there. His parents would always reply with the necessary answers he needed. There was something Garret noticed about his parents' tone, though. They seem... sad. It had taken quite a few days, but they finally arrived at the mountain ranges. Garret was carried safely by his father, out of the car and whichever direction his parents were about to go. He could only listen to his parents say that everything was going to be alright, everything was going to be okay, there was no need to worry. He was carrying a safety pack his parents had given him, complete with the things he needed in case he really needed them; food, a bunch of biscuits, water, and even one of his favorite books. They kept walking around the forest for about five hours, and as they went deeper and deeper, it also got scarier and creepier every minute they walked. Garret had always wanted to point this out to his parents, but it seems they were too busy organizing their thoughts. He wanted to ask them where they are now, but he was pretty sure that all they would ever say was how it was okay. Then finally, after a few more minutes, they stopped. He could remember his father setting him down on the ground, and he could hear the sounds of a tent being set up and his mother's lullabies to lul him to sleep. But he couldn't sleep. His head was throbbing in pain and he was crying because of it, too. He could feel the surge of energy wanting to get out of his body again. After a few minutes, all was suddenly silent. His mother and father cried and hugged him so tightly, before he was carried into the tent. "Mama...? What's going on...?" "It's going to be okay, Garret. Don't worry. Someone will come and help you." "Remember Garret... we love you. We will always love you." "Mama...? Papa...? Where are you going?" He could feel his mother's hand slipping away from his grip, and he was left there to roll in a ball and question whatever just happened. He heard his mother and father's sobs grow fainter and into the distance. Then the footsteps stopped and the everything was silent. As the sudden realization dawned him, he cried and hugged himself until nightfall came. "Mama... Papa..." ~=*=~ Three days and nights have passed before finally, he was taken away from his sorrow and pain. He spent his three days being hungry, being a crybaby, and being tired... of everything. The food stored in his pack remained uneaten. He couldn't bring himself to stand up and take the food to at least replenish his energy. Then, on the fourth night, he was sure he was going to die. He was sure he was going to starve to death. He was sure his body was going to rot, and, if he got lucky, he was sure explorers who come to this forest would discover his dead body the next day. But turns out, that didn't happen. Because on the night of Tuesday, while he was sleeping in his tent (or at least trying to), he heard faint voices. They were outside of the tent, and they seemed to be talking about something... it seemed Garret wasn't the only person in the forest after all. Then the next thing he knew, he was pried out from his tent, unrecognizable hands grabbing him and taking him to the deepest trench of the forest. He was scared, but he didn't know who to trust anymore. He shouldn't trust everybody, then. A ceremony was held in the forest for the child who they had 'abducted'. After the harmonious ceremony, the child has finally been healed. He would have to rest for a few more days, but now he can control his powers, now he was part of another family. He was now a faekin. ~=*=~ It had been a few years since he was admitted to the faekin world. And admittedly, he had a lot of fun. His fae friends and the elders helped him become a better person. He trained, he played, he practiced his powers, he helped around the faekin home. But then, he remembered something. His parents. Don't they feel guilty about what they did? ~=*=~ Miko and Alexandra Yakov couldn't cope up with the guilt anymore. They wished they could go back and take Garret, but they knew it was the only way to save him from his pain. Everyday they would cry and wish they hadn't left Garret in the forest; everyday they wished that he shouldn't have been destined to his fate at all. Both could only imagine what would happen in the future. They thought that, hopefully, Garret would show up to their doorstep, fully-healed, and hopefully unchanged... they would throw their arms open and welcome him back home, that was for sure. But sadly, that didn't happen. They were prepared to end their own lives when it was suddenly revealed that Alexandra was pregnant. At first, they thought it impossible. But as five months passed by, they finally knew it to be true. The couple was having another baby. And they swore, by Garret's blood and the gods, they weren't going to leave him again, no matter the circumstances. When the baby was born, the townspeople cheered. It was the same routine that happened when Garret was born, too; their parents promised to take care of their new baby boy, and they promised he will not be left alone. They promised, that no matter what, he would always be protected. They named their newborn son Polvu. ~=*=~ It took 170 years before he finally went to his hometown unrecognized. When he heard that his parents had a new son, he shook with rage. How dare they leave him alone in the forest and then produce another son?! Don't they love him as much as they loved his brother now?! That only increased his desire to fulfill his quest and the reason why he came to town today. Burn the house where he came from. He hadn't recognized the town now, admittedly. After all, he was forced to leave the town when he was still a three year old child. But after asking around, questioning where the Yakov house is, he immediately got the address thanks to the townspeople unwittingly helping him. When he arrived, he didn't bother knocking. He immediately opened the door and went inside. He hates this place. Garret was about to start torching this place down when footsteps coming down the stairs echoed around his ears. He turned his head, only to his mother standing there with tears in her eyes. "Garret...? My sweet child, is that you...?" He didn't want to see her face again. That pathetic crying face was just an act. He flinched when his mother slowly started to advance towards him. But then, he didn't have time for hugs. He had a mission to complete. "I'm sorry mother, but you were too late." Then he unleashed his power, and the house started to be set ablaze. The townspeople could only watch as the Yakov Residence and the rest of the houses set just beside each side of the house burned. They didn't know what caused the house to burn, just that their suspicions of the Yakov couple torching their own house and wanting to end their life seemed to be true. When the fire was taken care of a few days later, they searched the burnt remains of the Yakov Residence. They only saw one body lying around the ashes, torched in a crisp: Alexandra Yakov. Polvu and Miko Yakov were nowhere to be found. ~=*=~ Garret decided to switch places after that incident. He had taken his brother and his father to a "road trip" across the world. As days passed, Polvu and Garret had surprisingly grown closer than one would have expected; both shared the same personalities later on. Polvu started to hate his father after what he had heard from Garret. They became partners in crime. They had found a place that could actually be their new life from now on; Lorsette, situated in Newfoundland, California. Moved in to a new house, they threw their father into the basement, tied him up, and everyday beat him to death. He would usually hear his father sobbing in the basement, saying sorry over and over again after a good beating from his sons. Garret couldn't help but feel a little sympathy for him. Polvu would take him out of his trance, though. "You're showing sympathy for him? Now? After what he had done to you? So what are you gonna do now, let him go because you actually care about him even though he and mom abandoned you?" "...Of course not. Why would I? He's a monster to my eyes." But still. There was a little fairy telling him to forgive his father, but he didn't do it. ~=*=~ They then learned that a woman named Zeredah and her Assembly of Phantoms was roaming around the town causing havoc whenever they want to. Both brothers decided to join her forces, just for the fun. It was certainly not that hard to fit in, as there were a lot of people there who loved chaos and ruin, but as the years passed and Garret had reached the age of 230, he started to think of it as something... boring. Killing people was only a hobby for him, not a job. So he told Polvu, who was dedicated to the Assembly of Phantoms, that he will leave. Polvu wanted to object at first. He wanted to make his brother stay, but then, it was still his choice. Polvu wouldn't dare oppose his brother like that; he knew what Garret can do. After finally escaping from the prison called the Assembly of Phatoms, Garret was no longer an AP member. ~=*=~ Years had passed, but Garret still managed to enjoy his life. He still kept in touch with his younger brother, who was still an assassin for the AP. He became a serial killer and enjoyed killing others simply for the fun of it. Because of his crimes he was known and rumored to be "Hada de Sangre", or Blood Fairy. Everyone knew by now that he was of faekin blood, but they don't know who he truly is. Garret realized... he really loved ending others' lives. So he stuck to his occupation for now. Until now, at the age of 268, he still murders and kills for his own leisure. Everyone wants to know who "Hada de Sangre" really is, and they wished he would finally stop terrorizing other people. But Garret only knew one thing, though. It was time to cause havoc.
